Feature

Send the document you actually wrote

Your agreements live in Word. SignSwifly takes .docx, .doc and .rtf straight from your drafting folder and converts them to PDF automatically before you place the signing fields — no export step. On Solo and up, the Word file stays editable until you send: fix a typo in Edit wording, or write the document in your browser to begin with.

In detail

How it works

  • Drop a Word document into the envelope wizard like any PDF
  • Server-side conversion produces the PDF signers see, and you check it before you send
  • Calibri, Cambria, Arial, Times New Roman and Courier New are drawn in free fonts of exactly the same widths, embedded in the PDF, so lines break where Word breaks them; any other font (Aptos, say) is shown as the nearest of those five, and the app tells you which. A file the converter can’t take that way (one with more than 10 pictures, or a very large table) is converted by SignSwifly’s simpler method, where a font it doesn’t have is replaced with a standard one, and the app says so
  • On Solo and up, a Word file added to an envelope keeps its Word file: Edit wording opens it in the document editor, and fields you placed follow the words beside them
  • Field placement, sealing and the certificate all work on the converted PDF
  • The stored document records its cryptographic fingerprint from the moment of upload

Why it matters

  • One less export step in every engagement letter, contract and SOW
  • On Solo and up, write a document in your browser, or open a Word file, and send it for signing from there
  • Signers always receive a fixed-layout document — what you saw is what they sign
  • The sealed output is a standard PDF anyone can open and verify
Why it matters

The benefits

Fewer steps

Draft in Word, send in SignSwifly — nothing in between.

Layout certainty

No signer-side Word version surprises, and the fonts keep Word’s widths.
